Resin bound has become the first choice for homeowners who want a sleek, modern driveway that performs as well as it looks. Natural stone is bound in a high-quality clear resin, then troweled to a smooth, seamless surface with no loose gravel to kick up or migrate onto the pavement.
Because the finished surface is permeable, rainwater drains straight through it rather than pooling, which meets SuDS drainage guidance for front gardens. You choose the stone blend and colour, and with UV-stable resin the colour stays true instead of fading in the sun.
Laid over a sound base, a resin driveway will give you 15 to 20 years of hard-wearing service with very little upkeep.

Project in Knebworth
This large-scale transformation involved a full excavation, complete removal of the existing driveway, demolition of the old retaining walls, new upright sleeper walls, a permeable tarmac base and around 160m² of resin-bound surfacing — completed within ten days.
A key feature was the sleeper work: we replaced the old walls with new upright sleepers around the driveway and garden, giving sharp lines and strong retaining edges. Over the permeable base we laid the resin-bound surface (supplied by SUDS UK) for a bright, clean, low-maintenance finish.
To frame the resin we installed Bradstone Woburn Autumn Gold paving and key kerbs, giving neat, defined edges and a high-end finish that completely transformed the front of the property.
